2010 Lenten Season

We know that the purpose of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  And we want God to use Mt. Auburn to be a congregation that produces fruit.  This Lent, we are going to focus on five practices of fruitful congregations.  They are: Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Development, Risk-Taking Mission and Service, and Extravagant Generosity. People are looking for a church shaped and sustained by these practices and by carrying them out, we can fulfill our mission to make disciples for Christ.

Pastor Jim's will preach a Lenten sermon series based on these practices and as a congregation we will gather in home groups to read and discuss the book "Cultivating Fruitfulness" by Robert Schnase.  Plan on worshipping with us during Lent and joining one of our many Lenten home groups.  Books are on sale for $5 on Sundays. Take a look at what else is being offered below during this Lenten Season.
