Devotion: We Belong to a Gracious God
Our Father in Heaven wants great things for us. He tells us that Christ was given to us so that we may have life to the fullest extent. We know how much our own parents desired the best for our lives as we were growing up. In the same way, doesn’t our Heavenly Father want us to have and to live the best and richest life? His deepest desire is for us to live a righteous life in Him. God wants more for us than the life of the world, one that is more selfish and desperate than glorifying to God. A richer life includes living out the Word of God and humbly serving others.

God saves His children through grace alone. If it were not through His gracious love and forgiveness, where would we be? He does not require us to work for our salvation, but rather, we receive it freely through faith in His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who paid the price for us all. It is all by the power of God that we are made new creations, and thus, can be called to live a new life of radical obedience to Him. God is love, and His love is unconditional. In the same way, He gives us the free gift of grace that saves us. His grace shows His wonderful love for us all.
