Mt. Auburn Food Drive
We will collect canned food at Door #2 at Mt. Auburn’s Stones Crossing Campus, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays for the next several weeks, beginning April 20 and 21.
If you were looking forward to our Missions weekend later this month, we are going mobile! Several of the missions that we support at Mt. Auburn, including The Lord’s Locker (Trafalgar), Interchurch Food Pantry (Franklin), and The Salvation Army (Greenwood) are strategically positioned to serve our community in this COVID-19 crisis. To support these missions as an extension of the church, and to refill a few shelves in Mt. Auburn’s pantry for congregational needs, we are asking you to consider donating canned food to these missions directly, or to donate at Mt. Auburn and we will deliver your donations. You can also make an additional financial donation through Mt. Auburn directly to these missions or for food items that a volunteer can purchase.
Please try to limit your donations as much as possible to the following items, which are needed, easier to transport, and fairly basic: canned meat, canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, soup (canned or dried), and Clorox disinfecting wipes.
If you come to Door #2, a volunteer with gloves and mask will stay back from your vehicle and, with your permission, open your vehicle door and collect the items, which will then be wiped down, sorted, and delivered. Thank you for your generosity and your desire to share the love of our risen Jesus!
