Pastor’s Point – November 2018

By the time you read this, Christmas Decorations should be up at Mt. Auburn, and we are ready for ADVENT! While I know you are crazy busy, but what if you could pause for a few moments, and together let’s make time to consider the real meaning of Christmas. Each Sunday we will light the candle of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Together, through the word and music of the season, we will look at what these words, these gifts mean for us today.

Also plan on coming to the Youth and Children’s Christmas play, “A Christmas to Believe In” on December 16th, at 7 p.m. in The Courts. This play is a humorous retelling of the Christmas Story that will be fun for the entire family and, of course, bring friends!

December 21st, at 6:30 p.m. in The Chambers will be our Longest Night Service. Hard stuff in our lives make the Christmas holidays difficult. Death, divorce, illness, or whatever makes this season feel dark for you. Come to this service to find the light that drives out the darkness and offers healing and hope.
